So, I just got my Raspberry Pi and have followed all the directions for installing Retropie: downloaded the latest SD card image (I downloaded V2.4.2), extracted the file using 7-zip, and wrote the image file to my SD card. However, when I boot up the Pi, it does NOT load EmulationStation like it’s apparently supposed to. It just lists a bunch of ERROR lines saying “preload cannot be preloaded. Ignore.” When I type ./emulationstation and hit enter to manually launch, it says the folder or subdirectory does not exist. I am not a computer wizard, so please be easy on me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Attached is a picture of my screen.

Thats odd, I’ve not seen that before.
Would you be able to write the image to a different card to make sure thats not the issue?

Did you follow this approach to write the image?
