    Each installed game or an emulator should have two .desktop files, one for Desktop (/home/pi/Desktop) and another for the Menu (/usr/share/applications)
    Example with some direct access

    I can see the appeal , however the desktop environment is purposely left out of RetroPie.

    I don’t understand why don’t add desktop files that make things easier to newbies and more people may use retropie, also like a tool to configure a complete system like raspbian.
