Controller Loss of Connection

I have notice recently while playing a game a message will pop up that it senses my controller has been disconnected quickly followed up but controller reconnected message. The game I am playing does not require quick actions so not a huge issue as it only says it loses the controller for about 1/2 a second but its there anything I can do to stop it from dropping where in a game that might need the quicker response time that it doesnt mess me up?

Have you tried a different usb connection? Is there a chance the controller is faulty – do you have another to try?
