    Just a quick hello and Thanks for an awesome site and project!
    I have just started a journey to build a retropie system with my Step-son. He suffers bad from depression and I hope this helps get him out to the wood shop with me and around others. It’s a win/win project I believe.
    First simple question is can I build a two person coffee table system where player1 and player2 sit across from each other ??

    Yes it can be done. Check out the people’s projects section of the forum to get some ideas from other users of retropie who have done something similar on how you can implement your vision
