    as topic suggests

    Ive done this, neogeo.zip /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/neogeo

    Now that particular file appears with my list of roms
    any way to get it to filter that specific zip file?

    Well, you should be able to put it in the BIOS folder, but gngeo appears to refuse to look there even if you edit its config file.
    You may need to wait for something like this unless the emulator you use is happy to accept the neogeo.zip in a different dir.

    Yeah, initally I did try putting the file in the bios folder, but it doesnt pick it up for some reason

    That link you sent, i saw before i posted – it seems its a feature request to me?
    or is that <hidden> tag actually active?

    Yes, its a feature request. Hopefully the guys at ES will act on that or similar soon.
