I apologize if this has been posted already (I didn’t find it if so), but does the RetroPie project work yet with the new Raspberry Pi 2 model that was just released?

Can I just move my micro SD card over to the new model? Need updates?

I’m still a newbie, loading up my ROMs today and super excited! Just, wondering if the new powerhouse model might alleviate any of the performance issues that I’ve read about with some emulators.

    Any input/info is appreciated, thanks!

You’ll need to update the firmware for your current setup to be compatible with the pi 2. Otherwise you can start with the new 2.6 SD card image for the rpi2 https://www.petrockblock.com/retropie/retropie-downloads/download-info/retropie-sd-card-image-for-rpi-version-2/

Or you can download the latest image for the Pi2 from the downloads page.

Awesome, thanks guys! I’ll go with the new image.

Can anyone confirm that the performance is better all around and/or any performance issues that have been fixed with the faster hardware?

There are lots of YouTube videos out there.
I’m uploading one right now, i’ll edit this post as soon as the video is ready.
Not using any overclock or special settings, the performace is pretty good. Got some little slowdowns on GBA but the rest runs on 100% speed.

I have not installed N64 and PSX right now, still waiting until the performance gets better.
