in /home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/supplementary/emulationstation.sh
remove these lines:
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/blob/68ed50d5362677e75cff5a31c35dd30b722f0da0/scriptmodules/supplementary/emulationstation.sh#L78-L82
then save your edits and then reinstall emulationstation from the setup script- then it should go away.
It is also possible it may just work without a reinstall but I’m not sure about that.
